Speaker Walter Chun, PhD, CSP, CHSP, CHST
Walter Chun has over 50 years of experience in safety, health and risk management. He previously served as the USDOL OSHA Area Director for the Pacific and now operates as a private safety consultant. Prior to his OSHA career, Walter was the Safety Director at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and worked in the private sector, including at the Nevada Test site.
Throughout his distinguished career, Walter has served as an expert witness in more than 50 civil liability cases, providing professional safety opinions in each. He holds multiple certifications, including CSP, CHSP, CHST.
In addition, Walter is an authorized OSHA instructor for both Construction and General Industry safety and health courses. His educational background is rooted in safety engineering, underscoring his lifelong commitment to advancing workplace safety and health.
