Heat Illness: An OSHA / HIOSH Perspective
May 8, 2024
5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Summer is coming!
Heat Illness has been a hot topic of late in the safety field, but how does OSHA / HIOSH define what a heat hazard is? Can an employer be cited and penalized for not addressing heat illness? What can I do to protect my employees from heat illness? These are the questions being asked by employers.
In this session, we will be focusing on OSHA’s enforcement guidance documents on heat illness including the OSHA Tech Manual, and we’ll discuss the National Emphasis Program targeting heat illness. The key objective is determining if there is a heat hazard and recommendations for compliance.
Find out the answers to common questions and more during our May ASSP Hawaii Chapter Hybrid Meeting!
